Active school week 2013

Active school week will take place from May 27th – 31st in our school.

In preparation for it each class is designing posters to promote being active which will be displayed around the school.

There are lots of fun activities planned for the week for students and teachers! Parents are welcome to get involved as well.  There are school walks organised during lunch time every day (12.45 – 1.15pm) for all pupils and parents are invited to attend.

It all goes towards getting our Active School Flag (ASF). The Department of Education and Skills wishes to recognise schools that strive to achieve a physical educated and physically active school community by awarding them the  Active School Flag. Once awarded the flag remains valid for a period of 3 years.

Hope everybody gets fully involved in Active school week. We invite parents for dance and walking activities. Please try to be extra healthy with lunches. It would be wonderful to add the flag to the Green School flag.
