School Incubator Project

On Wednesday February 8th a farmer from Nore Valley Park came to our school to deliver the eggs.  He spoke to all of the classes about the development and life cycle of a chicken. Each class has been following the development of the eggs closely. The eggs are kept at the correct temperature to hatch and are regularly rotated.

There is a chart which shows how the embryo is growing and changing each day. Its takes approximately 21 days for the eggs to hatch. Once the chicks have hatched the students will look after them and watch them grow for 1-2 weeks.
